They had their first taste of puppy food today and took right to it as expected. They will be fed 3 times a day from here on out. The puppies are started on a thin gruel but by the time they go home in September they will be eating it dry. Those holding reservations should purchase a bag of puppy food (Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy formula) to have on hand before adoption day. It is available at Petco and Petsmart in the Salem area.

The puppies are progressing through their super puppy classes and as you can see by the pictures their eyes are starting to open. A couple of them are starting to barely make it up onto all fours and take a couple steps. It won't be long before they're running circles around Peanut though.

We are now up to 9 pups which is our litter average - We have 5 males (blue, red, black, green and orange) and 4 females (pink, rainbow, purple and orange). I think we need to get more colors of yarn. Not sure if there any more in there or not.

There are now 6 pups - 3 males (blue, red and black) and 3 females (pink, rainbow and purple). We now have enough pups for those with reservations and it looks like another pup or two to come...

There are now 5 healthy pups -2 males (blue and red) and 3 females (pink, rainbow and purple). Looks like at least a couple more to come...

It took a bit longer than expected but the first little boy arrived at 6:00 am this morning. More to come...

It looks like these pups are going to arrive quite a bit earlier than expected. Peanut started showing signs of labor about 10:00 tonight. I will update the site as appropriate during delivery.
All puppies will have their dew claws removed and have their first series of necessary shots prior to adoption. Our pups are family raised and socialized by our 2 children and their friends. We follow the early neurological stimulation "Super Dog" program to help promote development and socialization. In addition, they will be introduced to water, loud noises and birds prior to sale.
Puppies are guaranteed for 26 months on hips and eyes and come with the necessary paperwork for AKC registration.
